People seek therapy for different reasons. Some are looking to find relief from painful emotions, or may need help dealing with stress, anxiety, or a difficult life situation. Others may be hoping to sort out interpersonal issues, or feel as if they lost a sense of purpose or direction. Whatever the challenge or goal may be, therapy can be a way to gain more clarity regarding thoughts, feelings and experiences, and learn new ways of coping, within the safety of a supportive therapeutic relationship.
I’m Shelly,
I’m a licensed psychotherapist working with adults, couples, and families. My experience and training span over a decade of helping people struggling with a wide array of emotional issues, as well as relationship and communication difficulties. For parents, I offer support and guidance in dealing with the challenges of parenthood, helping them promote their child's well being, and improve communication and family relationships.
In my work I aim to provide a welcoming space for anyone experiencing a challenge, or looking to deepen their understanding of themselves. Whether you are struggling with a specific issue, or experiencing a more vague sense of discontent, it is my conviction that with the right focus and support one can regain balance and well being.
